Greek Chicken Kebabs

These Greek Chicken Kebabs are packed with flavor thanks to a simple yogurt-based marinade spiced with cumin, paprika, cinnamon, and a punch of lemon. Whether you’re grilling or baking, they turn out juicy, smoky, and perfect for weeknight meals or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1/3 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes (optional for heat)
  • Zest of 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper


Instructions

1. Marinate the Chicken - In a bowl or zip-top bag, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, spices, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 6 hours for deeper flavor).

2. Skewer the Chicken - Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers evenly.

3. Cook the Kebabs

  • Grill Method: Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side until lightly charred and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
  • Oven Method: Preheat oven to 425°F. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway. Broil for the last 1–2 minutes for a nice char.

  • Toasted pita or flatbread
  • Tzatziki sauce
  • Chopped tomato, cucumber, and red onion
  • Extra lemon wedges
