Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1/3 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes, (optional for heat)
  • 1/2 Lemon, zest of
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, paprika, cumin, minced garlic, cinnamon, chili flakes (if using), lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and create a smooth marinade.
  2. Add the bite-size chicken chunks to the marinade, stirring to coat each piece evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Once the grill is hot, place the skewers on the grates. Grill the chicken kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with your favorite sides like tzatziki sauce, pita bread, or a fresh Greek salad.
